While building my 1973 Topps baseball set, a couple of things stood out to me. One was how bland the cards looked. The other - which I found it quite frustrating - was that many cards were off centered. I'm not talking about a 40-60 centering problem, I mean crazy centering or miscut issues. I realize this is a thing for many of the older Topps sets, and many set builders might point out the 75 or perhaps the 72 set as being notoriously off centered. However for me it was 1973.
So I decided to put together the worst possible set in terms of centering and miscuts. This will be a true FRANKENSET and my way to protest - decades later - the lack of quality control at Topps. Every card in this 1973 set build must be miscut or severely off centered - you read that right!
