I haven't posted in quite awhile not because of travel, but due to an unexpected health issue. I haven't been feeling 100% in months and last month finally went in to get checked out. Regrettably, my diagnosis involves the 'C' word. I was diagnosed with CLL, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Unfortunately, they don't know what causes this and there is no cure. However, it is manageable with treatment and my prognosis is excellent. I'll probably blog more often now that things are starting to settle down, however the hospital bills have put a dent in the card budget. This is the only time you'll see this mentioned on the blog, as I don't want this to turn into some kind of health update and I'd rather keep the focus on the hobby.
So with that in mind, in this post I'll show off some Kellogg's cards I had acquired some time ago.
These six cards from the 1970 Kellogg's 3D Super Stars set helped me get my set completion to 48%. I feel like this is a set that I can complete relatively easy. Of course there are some bigger names to be had yet like Clemente and Jackson, but I'll get over that hump some day. That's all I have for now...until next time happy hunting!
1) I wish you well.
ReplyDelete2) Kellogg's are great! (pun on tony the tger there).
Sorry to hear about the health issues. Best of luck!
ReplyDeletePraying that your treatments go well and do what they are intended to do. I've enjoyed Kellogg's products for many years. Keep looking up my fellow Minnesota fan!
ReplyDeleteNice pickups. Hope the treatment continues to go well.
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear the prognosis is excellent at least. Best of luck in the future. ... Nice Kellogg's cards, I love them so much.
ReplyDeleteI hope the treatments work well and I'm glad for the optimistic diagnosis.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that this had to happen to you, Greg. On the positive side, at least it's something that can be treated, and hopefully that means that it won't affect your quality of life very much (if at all). And I don't think that it would be a bad thing for you to do the occasional update, not only for those that care about your well-being, but also to let anyone else who has been diagnosed with the same thing, and who may have stumbled across your blog, know that their diagnosis isn't the end of the world.
ReplyDeleteA. Sorry to hear this news. Best of luck. Hope the treatment continues to work well and glad to hear the prognosis is positive.
ReplyDeleteB. The 1970 Kellogg's baseball design is my favorite out of all of their lenticular designs. Good luck with the set build.
Thanks for sharing the update. Hope for continued good news
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have a good attitude about it, and I'm glad to hear there is a way to manage it. I hope your cards will be a good distraction.
ReplyDeleteTakes a lot to post about ones health, glad it's manageable. Take care of yourself, and, thanks for posting those Kellogs cards. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your prognosis, but glad to hear it's treatable! Always fun to see Kellogg's cards!
ReplyDelete"My prognosis is excellent" are the best words in this post. Side note: Toronto Blue Jays' announcer Jamie Campbell and Toronto Maple Leafs winger Paul Henderson have had this same diagnosis for years.
ReplyDeletePrayers sending your way! Glad to hear not all bad news is bad news. happy to hear some positive in it.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back on here as well!
