Box Set Special - 1994 Upper Deck HOLOJAM

Like many special cards or sets of the nineties, the Upper Deck Holojam box set took advantage of the hologram craze and gave what I think is one sweet looking set.  It's only 36 cards and comes in a small box, but it packs a lot of punch.  With full bleed holograms and a player overlay, the cards give the collector an action shot worthy of a highlight reel.

Many of the biggest stars of the day are included.  My scans really don't do the holographic background any justice here.

It is interesting to note that the box left Jordan out of the list of included stars.
Or maybe that was a given?

But there he is!

This is probably one the most animated shots in the set.  Karl Malone making a delivery!

And now for something kind of boring.  No stats, just a neat little write up of the player.

This is one of those sets that really shines, especially in the sunlight.  The only drawback I can see with this set is that the cards can easily show scratches.  The set also came with a card where a collector could order an UD binder for the set.  I kind of wish I would have taken them up on that offer as the cards would display well, but for now these will remain in a box, with the collection.

  1. This set doesn't get much love online from collectors, but I still think that it's really neat too. Of course I pretty much enjoy all things hologram, so...
