It's been a long time since I added any Post cereal cards to my collection. And I haven't been in a hurry to complete any of these sets but I won an auction awhile ago and have had these sitting on the desk waiting to be written up in a post. While this particular lot included a bit of everything, I'm only actively pursuing the '62 set (which is 44% complete).
Here are 9 cards from the '61 set. If I can add these in bunches like this, I might build the set.
Only 3 of these were needs, with the Aaron a really nice addition. The bottom three are ready for trade.
9 from '63. This might be the least attractive of the three sets.
These aren't from the '63 Post set, but the seller probably thought they were. These are '63 Jell-O cards! It's always cool to find these and they will keep my Don Drysdale card company. The cut on most of these cards was done decently, but I'm tempted to trim some just to get a straighter edge (keeping the border line). Though I'm not sure that's allowed in our world. For now I'll keep them as-is and look for more lots to fill in my set. Until next time, happy hunting!
The '63 set might be the least attractive... but it does have one really cool characteristic. I really like the three stars on each side of the card number.
ReplyDeleteNice additions. The Hank Aaron is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteI was making good process on all of my Jell-O/Post sets at the beginning of the year, but they've really stalled since about the beginning of summer.
